9/05/10 Waves – Rounds III and IV

The tide had started to come in and the waves were getting noticeable larger.  My arms were sore, my ribs were bruised, my eyes were red, but I was determined to succeed.  After getting up for a brief moment round III ended when I took a board to the throat.

Round IV turned out to be the round that never happened.  Space and I battled the surf for a good 20 minutes but the waves had become too big and neither of us was skilled enough to find a way thorough them.  Thoroughly beaten, I gave up and returned to shore.

Surfing was clearly the most difficult sport I had ever tried, but it had an incredible draw.  This was not the end for me.  Cue Soundgarden.
